In the Rush of Christmas shopping I woke up with a sore throat. It wasn't allergy. It had a more ominous feel to it.

 OH NO!.... I didn't have time for that! I made up this recipe and it worked great.

 I am sharing it with you:


 16 oz Water
1/8 tsp salt (I like  a good pink or gray sea salt for consumption, but for this you may use either seasalt or table salt)
1 tsp of xylitol (check at your grocery or health food store)
2 drops of iodine (SSKI) Warning: DO NOT use topical iodine which is yellow and poisonous to consume)

 Gargle and spit a few times; keep the glass by the sink & repeat hourly, or when symptoms return.

 My soar throat was gone by mid-morning and never turned into  the cold I knew was lurking.
