One of the greatest threats to our health is something we won't hear about at the doctor's office or from our political leaders: The accumulation of toxins in our bodies plays an increasingly important role in our struggle to maintain health. Since WWII over 60,000 toxins; heavy metals, pesticides and man-made chemicals, never before seen on Earth, have been dumped into our environment. To think that we aren't effected by them is both naive and dangerous to our health.

There is Good News, So Keep Reading! (meanwhile)

 Toxins only do 3 things:

1) Alter or disrupt the immune system

2Alter or disrupt the neurological system

3)Alter or disrupt the hormone or endocrine system

Are these important? You bet! Our bodies can detoxify some of the things it comes in contact with, but they were never designed to handle the amount and variety of contaminants we encounter everyday. Besides the  toxins in medication we consume, we eat toxins in our food (yes, even organic), drink them, breathe them, and absorb them through our skin day in/day out, year after year. And every year 1000 new chemicals, mostly untested for safety in humans, are dumped into the environment. You may not see them or smell them, but they are there, and you are taking them into your body. Many of them are not coming out.

We have rising numbers of degenerative diseases, auto immune diseases, re-emerging diseases, new unclassified diseases, more learning disabilities than mankind has every had, & they are happening to younger and younger people. This is certainly a reason to look closely at our environment.

How Do We Get Rid of the Toxins?

Cleaning up our environment is important & good nutrition and exercise help, but it may not be enough. Regular detoxification can help lessen your body's burden of many of those chemicals that you have acquired over the years and will continue to acquire as long as you live on this planet. People have reported amazing benefits.

Testing is available to see what your body is holding, but the tests are very specific and the lab has to know which chemicals/heavy metals to look for. The average adult has 700 contaminants in his/her body. The newborn has 200. Testing is usually done on between 30 & 60 heavy metals. That's a lot of unanswered questions.

Is Detoxification Right for Everyone?

Some of the time honored methods of detoxification are not appropriate for all people. Illness, weakness, & gut problems are just a few of the reasons why some may not be candidates  for more traditional  methods, and yet some of those people might benefit the most by detoxing. By eliminating heavy metals, the essential minerals needed for good health can go where they are suppose to go, and do what they are suppose to do. This is essential  for health. some of the older methods of detox are also unable to get at certain elements. fortunately there are newer methods of detoxification that have been shown in studies to be effective, safe, and gentle  on most individuals.
